Pick up #9-LAST BOX!
This is officially the last CSA box for Clover Bee for 2024 and 2025. Since 2025 is a reset year, I encourage you to seek out other CSA options, such as the summer kitchen coop, Big River Farm, Shepherd Moon Farm (with a local clover bee farm pickup site!), Foxtail Farm, Racing Heart farm, and Whetstone farm. Things to consider when choosing a new CSA are convenience to your location, add-ons, and more. Remember what you liked about Clover Bee and look for that in another farm. Ask them questions; they are there to serve you and grow for you!
Additionally, we will not be hosting a plant sale for 2025. Other farms, like foxtail, sell plants in the spring. I hope our absence doesn’t leave too big of a hole in your life. We need time to re-examine our values and priorities. Our bank accounts need a surge of cash that doesn’t rely on the weather or physical labor.

Now without further ado, here is the box list!
1 butternut squash
1 nut butter
OPTIONAL: Pie pumpkin (MCFM members please ask for your pumpkin)
3 of each type of onion
2 garlic
2 celeriac root
1 bunch of beets
2 shallots
1.5 pounds of german butter ball potatoes
2# sweet potato
purple broccoli, 1 head or 1 bunch
ON FARM: you pick tomatoes! The cherry tomatoes are very tall but still producing; bring a container and pick some for yourself :) Also, you pick basil and herbs.
Andrew turned 40 on Sept 27th! I surprised him by coordinating with his sister to invite his brothers and other family members. They usually don't get together for birthdays, which is unlike my family. He truly was surprised and we had a great time snacking, and golfing at Big Stone Mini Golf.

Roasted vegetable medley, get out the olive oil, and your favorite spices then cook up a grain or a protein…voila dinner.

whip up a batch of cashew cream and toss your caramelized onions, or caramelized shallots, then add to a veggie bowl or to roasted potatoes.
Beetroot rice pulao- I don’t love beets but the other flavors in this dish complemented the beets and it was tasty!
